SPACE
Art galleries are defined by art, architecture, and human intervention and are incomplete without any of the three. I have come to this specific space which is still under construction, a space so new that it still feels slightly uncoloured and cool. The whole place, from top to bottom, appears blank in front of me, awaiting spurs of positive energy to connect the three – humankind, art and architecture.
ENERGY
Gleams of light and shadow flash on the spiral staircase, while noises of construction come out from the galleries. While the white walls are still left with marks of construction, I have begun to insert artistic interventions into this future space by regenerating my previous series of sky colour photographs. Just as the photographs use colours of the sky to reflect the flux and uncertainties of life, the scenes we see now in the space are also unique as every scene is a transitional space-time that contains people’s powers and potentials. As I bless Old Bailey Galleries’ future, the energy of the colours connect all there is in the space at this moment in time.
